Why don't they have a thread yet? Because we've been slacking, that's why.

Brought together by fate (and the constant nagging of Annie's mother), Annie Hardy and Micah Calabrese make up Giant Drag, a musical duo
popped out born in good ol' Hell-A in 2003. Constantly fighting lazy comparisons to The Jesus and Mary Chain, PJ Harvey and My Bloody Valentine, Giant Drag have sought to create a brand of music which is their very own. The result? A soothing blend of sugar-sweet vocals, tripped-out guitar lines and the occasional abrasive lyric or two.
Having disappeared somewhat from the music scene following the release of their debut album, Hearts and Unicorns—thanks to a mountain of music industry bullshit such as being signed to and dropped from Interscope before their sophomore album could be released—the band are now back with
Swan Song EP and promises of a new album, with which
The Icarus Line's Joe Cardamone has been linked.
Personally, I'm hopeful. After such a long stretch between records, it seems that the band still has a lot of very dedicated fans and the new EP has already garnered significant attention from music blogs across the web. With any luck, Swan Song EP will be the record to jettison Giant Drag back into the spotlight.
